[02-25-2022] San Mateo County, CA – Driver Killed After a Fatal Train Crash in San Bruno

An unidentified driver was killed following a deadly train crash in San Bruno on Friday morning, February 25, 2022.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the deadly crash happened at approximately 8:00 a.m. at Scott Street in San Bruno.

A southbound no. 108 Caltrain was traveling on the railway when it struck a passing vehicle. It’s unclear what caused the accident.

Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle was killed in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, the 31 passengers inside the train were uninjured by the mishap. The southbound track was shut down for a few hours following the collision.

Local authorities are further investigating the case.
