An unidentified Oroville man was injured in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 on Friday afternoon, February 25, 2022.

[02-25-2022] Santa Barbara County, CA - One Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101According to reports, the pedestrian crash occurred around 1:12 p.m. on the highway’s northbound lanes, just north of Highway 166.

According to investigators, a Santa Maria driver failed to avoid colliding with a pedestrian in the northbound lanes.

When first responders arrived, the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

As of 1:55 p.m., Santa Maria officials had cleared the area, and traffic was flowing again.

There are no other details available. The accident remains under investigation.
