[02-28-2022] Kings County, CA - Man Killed in a Fatal Pedestrian Crash on I-5An unidentified man was killed after getting struck by another driver near Kettleman City on Monday morning, February 28, 2022.

The man was reportedly involved in a two-vehicle crash near Quebec before the pedestrian accident. The man then fled the scene on foot and ran toward the northbound lanes.

As the driver got off the dirty median, he crossed directly into the path of an oncoming Nissan. The Nissan tried to swerve but was unable to avoid the man successfully.

The man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. His identity has not been disclosed.

The crash is currently under further investigation.
