[03-01-2023] Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in San RafaelA pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle in San Rafael on Wednesday morning, March 01, 2023.

The San Rafael Police Department reported that the pedestrian versus vehicle collision occurred before 7:15 a.m. at the Lincoln Avenue and Second Street intersection.

Officers from the San Rafael Police and San Rafael Fire Department arrived at the scene. Little known information about the crash is available as the officers continue their investigation, but the police described the event as a major injury collision.

At least one person was injured, but no further details were released on the victim’s identity and current condition. Information on the motorist involved was also not immediately available.

Motorists are advised to find alternate routes as Lincoln Avenue between Second and Third streets is shut down for an hour or two.
