A woman suffered minor injuries following a crash on Highway 99 in Chico on Wednesday afternoon, March 2.

[03-02-2022] Butte County, CA - Female Driver Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in ChicoaThe two-vehicle crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m. on Highway 99.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota RAV4 and a semi-truck were traveling south on Highway 99 when they collided.

It’s unclear whether one of the vehicles was merging onto the freeway from Eaton Road at this time.

The RAV4 veered off the highway and collided with the Almond Tree Mini Storage fence at the back.

The woman in the Toyota sustained minor injuries.

A friend picked up and declined to accompany the emergency medical personnel who arrived on the scene.

According to the CHP, it was unclear whether she went to the hospital.

The semi-truck driver was unharmed. Fortunately, the crash did not back the traffic up.

There are no other details available. The crash remains under investigation.
