[03-02-2022] 30-Year-Old Woman Killed in Fatal DUI Crash in North HillsA Canoga Park man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly driving while intoxicated after running a red light and causing a fatal crash in North Hills on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Woodley Avenue near Parthenia Street.

According to the LAPD, Manuel S., 26, was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital, where he is still being held by police.

According to police, Sandoval is expected to be charged with murder.

The police further stated that Sandoval was speeding southbound on Woodley Avenue in a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck when it ran a red light and collided with a white Nissan sedan.

According to police, the Nissan was negotiating a left turn onto westbound Parthenia Street from Woodley Avenue when the collision occurred.

Due to the force of the collision, both vehicles were forced to travel southwest, causing the Chevrolet pickup to overturn and the Nissan to collide with the sidewalk and a light pole.

The Nissan driver, a woman in her mid-30s, died at a hospital, according to police.

Her identity was kept hidden until her family members were informed.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
