[03-03-20222] Orange County, CA – One Man Injured Following Unprovoked Assault at Anaheim Central Library

Anaheim Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a guy shown on a video hitting a library employee in an unprovoked assault earlier this month, March 3, 2022.

An employee of the Anaheim Central Library was walking around the library at 6:15 p.m. when he approached the suspect.

The Anaheim Police Department stated that the suspect stepped into the victim’s path without provocation before striking him once.

The employee tripped and hit his head on the tile floor, losing consciousness and sustaining a laceration to the back of his head.

The injury required transport to a nearby hospital and treatment.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late twenties to early thirties, standing around 6 feet tall with a thin muscular frame, weighing around 200 pounds, and sporting short hair or possibly baldness and a mustache.

He was last seen wearing a Dodgers baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt with red drawstrings, light brown slacks, white sneakers.

According to authorities, the suspect was carrying several clothes items in bags and may be transient.
