[03-03-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – Two People Injured Following Single-Vehicle Crash Near Griffith Park

Two people were injured following a single-vehicle crash near Griffith Park, Los Angeles, on Sunday night, March 3, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash happened around 11:00 p.m. at the Riverside Drive overpass near Griffith Park.

Authorities stated that the vehicle fell from the overpass, hit the concrete freeway divider, and burst into flames. A 65-year-old man and a 60-year-old man managed to exit the sedan and were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries.

The California Highway Patrol shut down the HOV lane and lanes 1, 2, and 3 of the eastbound Ventura Freeway. The lanes were reopened around 4:25 a.m. on Monday.

No further information was disclosed, and the authorities are gathering all necessary information to determine the cause of the crash.
