Seven children were hurt following a car crash involving a suspected DUI driver in Central Fresno on Saturday afternoon, March 5, 2022.

Two unspecified vehicles collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. How the accident occurred and why it happened have not been established.

At least seven children, ranging in ages from 10 months to 10 years old, were rushed to an area hospital. Their identities and their condition has not been disclosed.

Authorities determined that one of the drivers was under the influence at the time of the crash. The suspect was arrested on DUI and child endangerment charges.

An active investigation of the crash is currently underway.

Among them, 4,944 people were charged with criminal offenses. There was a 5% decrease in DUI arrests in 2017.
