[03-06-2022] Fatal Pedestrian Accident Results in Death of 37-Year-Old Man on Van Buren BoulevardOne man identified as 37-year-old Thomas S. was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on Van Buren Boulevard on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

The fatal crash occurred around 11:10 p.m. in the 4200 block of Van Buren Boulevard.

According to California Highway Patrol, Shelton was also stepping in and out of the four-lane corridor when he was struck by a 58-year-old Riverside woman driving a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta.

Furthermore, authorities claim that the Jetta driver struck Shelton after stepping into the northbound lanes.

Shelton was eventually pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. However, the driver’s name is currently unknown.

Meanwhile, authorities have only questioned the Jetta driver and have made no arrests.

The fatal accident remains under investigation.
