Two-Vehicle Collision Statistics

A car collision occurs every sixty seconds somewhere in the United States. This is unsurprising given the millions of cars that travel the country’s highways every day.

Traffic congestion, gridlock, and (most importantly) car accidents resulting in death and catastrophic injuries are inescapable when so many vehicles share the same roadways.

In Southern California, Orange County is part of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. With 3,010,232 persons in 2010, it was the third most populated county. It has a population that exceeds 21 other states in the country.

In 2017, there were 31,004 accidents in Orange County, resulting in 21,646 injuries and 188 deaths. Keeping track equates to 84 accidents each day in the county if you’re keeping track.

These tragedies are made worse because the majority of them might have been avoided. Drunk driving, distracted driving, speeding, and drivers who disrespect the road rules are all variables that contribute to car accidents. Approximately 80% of all traffic accidents are caused by distracted driving.

Orange County Car Accident Statistics for Victims

Every automobile accident is different, and it takes a lawyer with the right mix of knowledge and expertise to get the job done and get the results you want.

After losing a loved one in a deadly accident, the victim’s family may find it difficult to put their lives back together. A wrongful death claim may not be able to bring your loved one back, but you can still pursue justice on their behalf.

The victim’s family can use a wrongful death claim to recover damages such as medical bills, funeral costs, and the pain and suffering of the deceased.
