According to the California Highway Patrol, an unidentified man was killed while walking on  just north of Warren Ave. in Hayward on Wednesday night, March 9.

When they arrived, they discovered a male pedestrian who had died due to his injuries.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

According to investigators, the driver who was involved in the fatal collision remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The man’s identity would not be revealed until his next of kin had been notified.

There are no other details available. The crash remains under investigation.
