[03-09-2022] Collision Between Motorcycle and Vehicle Closes LanesAccording to the California Highway Patrol, westbound lanes on Highway 178 at Kern Canyon Road are closed due to a serious crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

According to the CHP Traffic Information page, the collision occurred around 10:40 a.m. on Highway 178 near Democrat Road.

Officers shut down the exit lanes from Lake Isabella to allow an emergency helicopter to land.

At this time, the CHP does not know when the lanes will reopen.

Expect traffic congestion in the area.
