[03-11-2023] Three People Injured, One Severely, After Two-Vehicle Crash in PhelanThree people were injured, one severely, following a two-vehicle collision in San Bernardino County on Saturday morning, March 11, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at about 7:06 a.m. at the intersection of Sheep Creek Road and Phelan Road in the census-designated place of Phelan.

The vehicles involved were a white Jeep Cherokee with significant damage on its front end and a Chevrolet Silverado with significant damage to its door area. What led to the crash is currently unclear.

One of the victims, the pickup driver, had to be extricated by the San Bernardino County Fire Department responders. He was taken via air ambulance to Antelope Valley Medical Center with severe wounds.

Two more victims were sent to the hospital by ground ambulance. No further details on their identities and current conditions were immediately available.

Further investigation continues, including whether speeding or intoxication played a role in the collision.
