According to the California Highway Patrol, two people were killed, and one was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 33 on Saturday evening, March 12, 2022.

Officers arrived to find a Honda and Toyota had collided head-on in the southbound lane of Highway 33, killing both the Honda driver and passenger.

According to the highway patrol, the Honda driver northbound on Highway 33 lost control, causing it to swerve into the southbound lane and collide with the Toyota.

The Toyota’s driver was taken to Kern Medical with moderate injuries.

According to CHP, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol are contributing factors at this time.

According to the Highway Patrol, the accident is still being investigated.
