[03-12-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - Deadly Pedestrian Crash in Gardena Results in One DeathOne unidentified person was killed following a deadly pedestrian crash in Gardena on Saturday evening, March 12, 2022.

The fatal accident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. at Vermont and Marine Avenues, near the southwest corner of Rosecrans Park.

The victim was walking across Vermont in a crosswalk when a southbound Toyota Prius suddenly struck her. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The woman was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

Local authorities are further investigating the case. Witnesses that can provide additional information about the accident are urged to call the Gardena police at 310-217-6183.
