One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 15 near Kelbaker Road in San Bernardino County, late Wednesday night, March 12, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:56 p.m. when a wrong-way driver traveling southbound in the northbound lanes struck a vehicle in the fast lane before colliding with other vehicles, including a semi-truck pulling an Amazon trailer and a pickup truck.
Emergency responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. Another individual had to be extricated from their vehicle, while a third person reportedly escaped without injuries.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the wrong-way driving. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
