[03-12-2025] One Killed After Semi-Truck Collision Sends Vehicle Down Ravine on Highway 14At least one person was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck on Highway 14 near Pine Tree Canyon Road in California City on Wednesday night, March 12, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 7:54 p.m. when a semi-trailer truck collided with another vehicle. The impact caused the vehicle to veer off the roadway and plunge into a ravine.

Emergency responders confirmed one fatality at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity at a later time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
