An unidentified 57-year-old man was killed following a fatal hit-and-run crash near South 47th Street on Sunday evening, March 13, 2022.

The male pedestrian was walking across the street when he was suddenly struck by an eastbound vehicle. The driver did not stop to render aid and drove away from the scene.

The pedestrian was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment. Unfrotunately, the victim was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a white Dodge Charger. Local authorities are actively pursuing the whereabouts of the hit-and-run driver.
