Two teens were killed after a deadly pedestrian crash involving a suspected drunk driver on Blackstone Street on Sunday night, March 13, 2022.

The suspect suddenly struck two teens. The suspect was identified as 83-year-old Manuel C.

The two teens sustained fatal injuries in the crash. One of the victims, a 17-year-old girl, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead before midnight.

The second victim was hospitalized and was listed in critical condition but was pronounced dead the following day.

Authorities determined that the driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Jail on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI causing injury.
