One person has died due to a crash involving two vehicles on Highway 41 near Coarsegold on Monday, March 14, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle traveling south on Highway 41 lost control, overcorrected, and landed on its side. The vehicle then moved into the northbound lane and collided with another vehicle.

In the accident, the driver, a 21-year-old Fresno man, was killed.

The other vehicle’s driver, a 19-year-old Ahwahnee woman, was unharmed.

CHP officials say they don’t know if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash because the investigation is still ongoing.
