[03-14-2022] San Diego County, CA – 23-Year-Old Man Struck and Injured in Pedestrian Accident in San Diego’s Fairmont Park

According to police, a 23-year-old man was struck by a car in San Diego’s Fairmont Park neighborhood and was rushed to a local hospital late Monday evening, March 14, 2022.

According to preliminary investigation, the 23-year-old pedestrian was crossing Home Avenue at the intersection with Federal Avenue when a 49-year-old female driving a Toyota Camry came through the intersection.

The woman, who was driving southbound, had a green light at the time, according to police.

The man had an open fracture in his left tibia and fibula and a closed fracture in his right lower leg when he was taken to the hospital.

Police do not believe the driver was under the influence at this time.

There are no other details available. The accident remains under investigation.
