[03-16-2023] 64-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed After Hit-And-Run Crash on Highway 189A hit-and-run crash fatally struck a 64-year-old man, identified as James W., in San Bernardino County on Thursday night, March 16, 2023.

Reports confirmed that the fatal collision transpired around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 189 in Lake Arrowhead.

According to authorities, the man was walking east along Blue Jay Cutoff before he was struck by a westbound vehicle.

Paramedics were called and pronounced that the victim had died. The suspect immediately left and fled the scene.

Authorities are looking for the suspect and stated that no arrests had been announced on Monday. The suspected vehicle that fled was a dark-colored SUV.
