What You Should Do After an Accident

This allows the police to keep information on what happened during the accident on a central database, they keep those records within the police department, and the information is securely stored.

A police officer will usually attend the scene of an accident in any case, but if they do not, you can contact them by phone or in-person to file a police report after the fact. Therefore, if the police are absent during the collision, they will gather the information and issue a statement.
