A young boy was injured following a fiery two-vehicle collision in Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday afternoon, March 17, 2022.

A white or silver Toyota Scion TC and a gray Mitsubishi Lancer collided head-on at high speeds. Road rage was suspected to be a factor in the crash.

Due to the severity of the impact, both vehicles began to spin out of control before crashing into a center divider. The Scion burst into flames.

The young boy was bleeding from his head and was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Local authorities are further investigating the case. They will attempt to determine whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
