[03-17-2023] Male Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in VistaA pedestrian collision led to one man’s death in Vista on Friday night, March 17, 2023.

According to authorities, the deadly crash transpired around 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of Taylor Street and Cresthaven Drive.

Reports stated that a man driving a Ford Escape westbound on Taylor Street collided with a man crossing just east of the intersection. Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of his next of kin.

Meanwhile, the Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision, and further investigations are ongoing.
