[03-18-2024] Placer County, CA – Injuries Reported Following Two-Vehicle Collision on I-80 in Rocklin

Injuries were reported following a major two-vehicle collision in Rocklin on Monday morning, March 18, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80 near the Rocklin Road offramp.

Authorities stated that a vehicle was stopped in the #1 lane when another vehicle crashed into it. The first vehicle ended up overturned and landed on the center divider. At this point, it is unknown why the first vehicle stopped in the #1 lane.

Responding officers said injuries were reported, but no one was pronounced dead in the collision. Anyone with information about the incident is highly urged to contact the police.

No further information was released. The investigation continues.
