[03-19-2022] Kern County, CA - One Person Killed in a Deadly Bakersfield Car Crash near Lower Richbar Picnic AreaOne unidentified person was killed following a deadly two-vehicle collision in Bakersfield on Saturday night, March 19, 2022.

The fatal crash transpired at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Highway 178 near the Lower Richbar Picnic Area.

Two vehicles crashed on the highway’s eastbound side for unknown causes. The circumstances behind the crash have yet to be determined.

The accident resulted in the death. There were no additional injuries reported. The identity of the parties involved has not been revealed.

The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the cause of the fatal crash. They will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the mishap.
