According to Watsonville Police, two people died in a three-car crash that occurred in Watsonville on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

[03-19-2022] Santa Cruz County, CA - Two People Killed in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash in WatsonvilleThe fatal crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. at Green Valley Road and Pennsylvania Drive.

According to police, the driver of a 2016 Nissan Sentra was speeding and ran a red light at Green Valley Road and Pennsylvania Drive, crashing into a Chevy pickup. After that, the Chevy collided with a Honda.

According to police, the Nissan’s 20-year-old driver died at the scene. The 16-year-old passenger died after being taken to the hospital.

A second 20-year-old passenger was also taken to the hospital, but she is expected to recover fully.

Both Chevy and Honda drivers suffered minor to no injuries.

The police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
