[03-19-2024] Plumas County, CA – Female Passenger Injured After Truck Rollover Crash Along Highway 70

A female passenger was injured after a big rig rollover crash in Plumas County on Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:20 p.m. along Highway 70.

CHP said that the big rig driver was traveling along Highway 70 after finishing a delivery when he suddenly veered off into the dirt shoulder. The truck then rolled over into a nearby river after the driver overcorrected.

Responders helped a female passenger get out of the cab. She was treated on the scene by medical personnel. The extent of the victim’s injuries was not disclosed immediately.

Meanwhile, the driver, who was thrown into the river, held onto the rear end of the trailer where he was rescued. Authorities confirmed that he was uninjured.
