A 6-year-old boy is in the hospital with multiple injuries after being hit by a car and the driver failing to stop, including broken ribs and pelvis, on Sunday, March 20, 2022.

Outside, the boy was playing with his friends when a car sped down the street.

The moment the driver hit the boy and continued driving was captured on surveillance video.

The boy is seen lying in the street and attempting to get up in the video. People rushed over to assist him when he was unable to do so.

The boy’s family sent a photo of the car they believe is involved.

It was an older Saturn without an exhaust pipe, they said.

The boy is in the hospital recovering and is expected to be fine.

The accident remains under investigation.
