[03-21-2022] Riverside County, CA – 13-Year-Old Girl Critically Injured in Bicycle Accident in Beaumont

Police said an investigation is ongoing after a cargo van struck and critically injured a 13-year-old girl riding her bike in Beaumont early on Monday, March 21.

According to Beaumont Police Spokesperson Marcedes Cashmer, several people saw the crash and called 911, while Good Samaritans rushed to help the injured Beaumont girl until Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighter medics arrived.

The girl was taken to a local hospital by AMR paramedics, but her condition was unknown as of Tuesday morning.

Cashmer said the 19-year-old cargo van driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

He was not detained, and investigators have found no evidence of alcohol or drug abuse.

The Beaumont police are still investigating the accident.
