The California Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash in the Rancho San Diego area on Monday morning, March 21, 2022.

[03-21-2022] San Diego County, CA - Two People Injured in Head-On Crash in Rancho San DiegoAccording to CHP public affairs officer Travis Garrow, the multi-vehicle crash occurred on Willow Glen Drive around 9:25 a.m.

A black Kia crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a white Toyota Camry.

The Kia’s 41-year-old driver then swerved back into westbound traffic, colliding with a gold Honda Accord.

Both the Camry’s 45-year-old driver and the Kia’s 45-year-old driver were taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.

The Honda Accord’s driver, a 62-year-old Chula Vista man, was unharmed in the accident.

Everyone was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

At this time, it is unknown what caused the driver to swerve into the eastbound lanes of traffic.

Officials from the California Highway Patrol are still investigating the crash.
