[03-21-2023] Two Drivers Sustained Injuries After Two-Car Crash on Highway 178A two-vehicle crash injured two drivers in Bakersfield on Tuesday afternoon, March 21, 2023.

Reports indicated the collision transpired around 12:15 p.m. on east Highway 178, east of Union Avenue and west of Niles Street.

According to authorities, a Toyota Corolla lost control in the fast lane and skidded out, colliding with a Subaru.

After the vehicles collided, both cars struck a concrete wall. As a result, both drivers suffered minor scrapes.

It remains unclear if both victims were hospitalized. Details on their identity have not been released.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collision.
