[03-22-2023] Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 Led to Minor InjuriesMinor injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 101 in Marin County on Wednesday morning, March 22, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. along Highway 101 near San Antonio Road, north of Novato, south of the Marin County line.

Three vehicles were initially reported to have collided with each other in a construction zone: a blue Tesla, a red Tesla, and a grey Hyundai SUV. CHP officials said eight to nine vehicles got involved.

The total number of people involved is unknown at this point, but minor injuries were reported on some occupants. It’s also unclear whether they were rushed to the hospital.

The crash backed up the southbound traffic during the morning commute all the way into Petaluma. By 9:30 a.m., the site had been cleared and the cars had been moved to the shoulder.

The investigation into what led to the collision is still underway. No further information was immediately available.
