According to officials, an unidentified 29-year-old San Diego man riding a Yamaha motorbike was killed in a crash in the North County region on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the three-vehicle crash occurred around 3:36 p.m. on eastbound Camino del Norte, just east of Camino San Bernardo, in 4S Ranch.
Captain Taylor Cooper stated that the motorbike rider was attempting to cross traffic when it collided with the back of a black BMW vehicle, ejecting the rider, who was then struck by a Nissan Altima.
Authorities verified that the motorcycle rider was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
Cooper said the victim’s name is being kept until the family is notified because the cause of the incident is yet unknown.
There are no other details available.
The crash remains under investigation.
