[03-24-2022] One Man Seriously Injured Following Hit-and-Run Crash in ModestoInvestigators are seeking assistance in locating a hit-and-run suspect who injured a pedestrian in Modesto early Thursday morning, March 24, 2022.

The crash occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of McHenry and Briggsmore avenues, according to Modesto police.

According to police, a pedestrian was attempting to cross against a no-walk signal when they were struck by a vehicle that had passed through the green light.

According to officers, the driver did not remain at the scene after hitting the person.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with major injuries and is still in critical condition.

Police say they’re still looking for the driver who caused the accident and another driver who was close behind him and saw it happen.

Modesto police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
