Two pedestrians were struck in Visalia, one of whom died as a result of his injuries on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

Authorities say a pickup truck driver was driving northbound on Mooney when he ran a red light and collided with a white SUV.

The impact threw the vehicle onto the sidewalk, colliding with two pedestrians.

At the hospital, one of the pedestrians died.

The other has been seriously hurt. The SUV’s driver received minor injuries.

While the victim’s identity has not been revealed, Lloyd Boss knew him.

He stated that he frequently walks through this area.

The victim’s housemate, Jesse T., is also a suspect.

According to authorities, this is one of the busiest intersections in the city.

Pedestrians, according to Tuig, need more protection.

From Highway 198, there is an on-ramp and an off-ramp.

Because of the volume of traffic, Visalia police Sgt. Michael Short claims that more crashes occur near that intersection than anywhere else in town.

According to Sgt. Short, the driver of the pickup truck remained on the scene.
