[03-25-2022] Six People Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Four Cars in Fair OaksAccording to the California Highway Patrol, one man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a four-car crash left six people injured in Fair Oaks on Friday night, March 25, 2022.

The collision occurred on a Friday evening on Hazel Avenue south of Winding Way.

According to CHP officials, a 37-year-old man was driving a Tesla Model 3 north on Hazel Avenue south of Winding Way before crashing into the back of a Hyundai Elantra in front of him.

When the Hyundai was hit, it veered off the road and collided with a metal light pole before crashing into a concrete wall.

The 30-year-old female driver was taken to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment after suffering moderate injuries.

According to CHP, after colliding with the Hyundai, the Tesla driver swerved into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Prius.

A Ford Fusion carrying three people, including a baby, then collided with the Toyota from behind.

The driver of the Toyota, a 34-year-old man, was seriously injured and was taken to Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Ford, a 28-year-old man, was injured moderately.

The crash caused minor injuries to his two passengers, a 30-year-old woman, and a 1-year-old child.

All three were taken to Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment.

According to CHP, the Tesla driver suffered serious injuries and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The crash remains under investigation.
