One unidentified person was killed following a fatal motorcycle collision in Poway on Friday night, March 25, 2022.
The fatal collision transpired at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Midland Road near Midland Elementary School.
A northbound sedan driver was traveling on the 13800 block of Midland Road when he rear-ended a motorcycle that was parked on the right side of the road.
The motorcycle rider was killed in the crash. The other driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The sedan driver was later identified as 22-year-old Rastha R. Authorities determined that she was under the influence at the crash. She was arrested on DUI-related charges and vehicular manslaughter. She was booked at the Las Colinas Detention Facility.
