The fatal crash occurred around 7:55 p.m. at North Airport Way, just north of West Lathrop Road.

Officers immediately responded to reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian, according to the Manteca Police Department on Facebook.

Officers discovered a pedestrian with serious injuries who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the police, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

According to the Manteca Police Department, drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the accident.
