[03-28-2022] Mendocino County, CA - Traffic Collision Near Potter Valley Road Results in One DeathA 49-year-old woman identified as Cleotide Rodriguez D. was killed in a deadly traffic collision near Buffalo Ranch on Monday evening, March 28, 2022.

The fatal collision transpired at approximately 5:28 p.m. on State Route 20 east of Potter Valley Road.

An eastbound blue 300 Mini Cooper was traveling on Highway 20 when the 60-year-old driver lost control and veered into the westbound lanes.

The Mini Cooper then crashed head-on with an oncoming 2018 Toyota Tacoma. Due to the severity of the impact, the Mini Cooper started spinning out of control before crashing into the 2019 Ford Explorer.

Two people inside the Mini Cooper were rescued from their vehicles. The driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the female passenger was killed in the crash.

Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the collision. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
