[03-29-2022] Kern County, CA - Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 Results in One DeathAn unidentified man was killed in a deadly motorcycle crash involving a big rig in Bakersfield on Tuesday morning, March 29, 2022.

The accident happened in the No. 3 southbound lane of Highway 99 in Modesto at approximately 6:50 a.m.

A Scion and a motorcycle collided on the northbound lanes of Pelandale Avenue for unclear reasons.

Due to the severity of the impact, the rider was ejected from his motorcycle and landed in the slow lane. A passing big rig then struck him.

Unfortunately, the motorcycle rider could not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the factors and liability in the crash.
