[03-29-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - One Person Killed After a Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Long BeachOne unidentified person was killed after a deadly pedestrian crash in Long Beach on Tuesday morning, March 29, 2022.

The accident happened in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Rose Avenue in Long Beach at approximately 8:07 a.m.

A westbound 2019 Jeep was traveling on Pacific Coast Highway struck a pedestrian for unclear reasons. The pedestrian was walking outside of a crosswalk.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the crash and was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The driver remained at the scene and talked with officers. Distracted driving, speeding, and intoxication were ruled out as factors in the crash.
