[03-31-2023] One Person Dead, Another Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision in OxnardA two-vehicle collision left one person dead and another injured in Oxnard late Friday evening, March 31, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:34 p.m. along 5th Street, west of Wolff Road.

A 33-year-old male driver named Martin I. was traveling eastbound on his Volvo when he crossed to the westbound lane and crashed with another vehicle.

Martin I. died on the scene, while the other person, a 46-year-old female driver, sustained minor injuries.

Authorities are currently investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash.
