According to the California Highway Patrol traffic website, officers responded to a 1:59 a.m. on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Rosa.

Officials received a report of a multi-vehicle collision and began diverting northbound traffic off the highway at the Yolanda Avenue off-ramp.

Following an investigation, the CHP reopened the northbound highway at 3:52 a.m.

An occupant of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:12 a.m.

There are no other details available. The crash remains under investigation.
