An unidentified Pixley man was killed by a runaway driver being sought by the California Highway Patrol in Tulare County on Sunday, April 3, 2022.
The fatal collision occurred just before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue 120 and Road 80, between Pixley and Tipton.
According to police, the 47-year-old man was driving west on Avenue 120 when a truck driver ran a stop sign and hit him.
The crash resulted in his death on the spot. According to authorities, the pick-driver up’s fled.
Their identities are still unknown. The crash remains under investigation.
