[04-04-2023] San Francisco County, CA – Renowned Bicyclist Killed, Another Person Hospitalized After Bicycle Collision in Presidio

A fatal bicycle collision left one renowned bicyclist dead while another person was hospitalized in Presidio, San Francisco County, on Tuesday afternoon, April 04, 2023.

According to the United States Park Police, the crash happened around 4:00 p.m. along Arguello Boulevard, south of Washington Boulevard.

The victim was Ethan B., who was a world-champion cyclist traveling southbound on Arguello Blvd. when he was struck by a car.

The bicyclist was declared dead, while the other driver sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

The public mourned over the death of a 10-time national champion and urged local authorities to explore bike lanes within the area.
