[04-05-2023] 53-Year-Old Rider Killed After Motorcycle Collision in Big SurA motorcycle collision claimed the life of a 53-year-old man in Monterey County on Wednesday morning, April 5, 2023.

Reports confirmed that the fatal crash occurred around 6:07 a.m. on Highway 1 in Big Sur.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist drove southbound on a Harley Davidson when a GMC Sierra 25000 turned left into the Naval Facility’s driveway and collided with the victim.

Responders immediately arrived and pronounced that the man had died from his injuries. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.

It was believed that DUI did not play a role in the crash, and further investigations are underway.
