An unidentified pedestrian died after being struck by multiple vehicles on Highway 99 near Delhi in Merced County on Friday, April 8, 2022.

Authorities are unsure whether the male victim is an adult or a juvenile.

According to Zuniga, the accident is investigated as a fatal hit-and-run collision.

According to the CHP, multiple vehicles struck the pedestrian who was lying in the roadway after the initial collision.

Several motorists have reported hitting the victim on the road and have cooperated with police.

According to Zuniga, authorities are still looking for the vehicle that hit the pedestrian.
